  • Coping with parental rules, limits, and expectations

Children are referred to this group for various concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, social adjustment challenges, and spectrum disorders. The program runs weekly for 10 to 12 weeks.

Executive Functions Building Group:

This group is designed to enhance a comprehensive set of skills essential for both academic achievement and psychosocial development. Central to these skills are executive functions, which encompass the ability to focus attention, retain and manipulate information, and flexibly shift mental focus as needed. These cognitive processes serve as the foundation for effective self-regulation, enabling children and adolescents to navigate the demands of learning environments as well as social interactions successfully.

The program is structured as a 10 to 12-week series, specifically tailored for middle school students, young adolescents preparing to enter high school, and those transitioning into college life. Participants will be grouped according to their age to ensure that the content and activities are developmentally appropriate and effectively address the unique challenges faced at each stage. Through targeted exercises and guided practice, the group aims to strengthen executive functioning skills, promoting greater independence, resilience, and success both inside and outside the classroom.

Transitions Group:

This group is designed to support students during critical periods of adjustment and transition, specifically as they move from middle school to high school and from high school to college. Recognizing that the developmental needs of these students vary significantly, the groups are carefully organized by age to ensure that each student receives support tailored to their unique stage of growth. This approach allows for a more effective and targeted intervention, addressing the specific challenges and concerns relevant to each transitional phase. By providing age-appropriate guidance and resources, the group aims to facilitate a smoother and more successful transition for all participants.

De-Stress for Teens Group:

As a teenager, experiencing frequent stress due to academic pressure, peer relationships, social media, family challenges, and concerns about body image is common. This group provides a supportive environment where you can learn effective strategies to manage and reduce stress. Through a combination of cognitive restructuring, breath work, mindfulness practices, yoga, and guided imagery, participants develop tools to better understand and cope with their stressors. Engaging in these techniques not only promotes emotional resilience but also enhances overall well-being, helping teens navigate the complexities of adolescence with greater confidence and balance.
